What OBRA is
OBRA opened in 2026 in Astorga, one of the pockets of El Poblado where Medellín still looks like itself: low houses, old trees, corner bakeries. The building is brick, clay and terracotta, with plants pushed into every gap.
Inside there are 106 rooms, a bistro that already has its own regulars, and spaces where things happen: a fashion residency, a listening session, someone recording a podcast, someone finishing a pitch at eleven at night.
The brand puts it better than we can: this is not only a hotel, it's a cultural platform. Culture isn't decoration here — it's part of the stay.
A day at OBRA
None of these scenes are staged. They're what happens in the hotel when nobody is posing.
Rooms
Six room types, 26 to 34 m². All with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a minibar and a rainfall shower.
Room types, sizes and occupancy as published in the hotel's official distribution listing.
Ganso & Castor
Best bistro in Med.
That's what they call themselves on Instagram.
Ganso & Castor is OBRA's kitchen, and it runs like a neighbourhood bistro rather than a hotel restaurant: a long table, an open counter, proper pastry and proper coffee.
It also comes upstairs. Room service at OBRA is the same bistro, served wherever you want it.

The full menu, opening hours and lunch and dinner service will be published once OBRA confirms them.
Culture
OBRA keeps parts of the hotel free so things can happen in them: tastings, dinners, talks, launches, book clubs, coworking, podcast recordings and gatherings around fashion, design, food and wellbeing.
In July 2026 the hotel hosted The Fashion Corner 001 during Colombiamoda, curated by @anthias.co and free to walk into. That's the scale of what a Thursday can turn into.
Come back and something else will be going on.
Programme as described in the opening press coverage and on the hotel's Instagram.

Rest
After a day in the city the room turns the volume down: brick, warm light, a rainfall shower and premium bedding. Nothing else to do.

Astorga · El Poblado
Astorga is the part of El Poblado where people still sleep. It sits next to everything — Poblado Park is steps away — and outside the noise of Provenza at the same time.
That's the privilege: walk out to whatever you want, and come back to a quiet street.

What's been said about OBRA
OBRA opened in 2026 and doesn't yet have enough reviews to help you decide. Rather than invent them, here is the press coverage and what has actually happened in the hotel, with the source attached.
